Main Areas of Practice

Mr. Otsuki deals with a wide variety of fields such as finance law, insolvency law and intellectual property rights law.

 

In the finance law area, he represents clients in litigation and also provides advice on credit management, financial products, compliance and M&A.

 

In the field of insolvency law, he has acted as the deputy trustee in bankruptcy for Ryowa House and Yamaichi Real Estate, the reorganization trustee for Tsuchiura Kaihatsu, the petitioner for corporate reorganization procedure for companies such as Chiyoda Mutual Life Insurance and Kyoei Life Insurance, the petitioner for civil rehabilitation procedure for Hatoyama Kanko, Tonosho, etc. and the trustee in bankruptcy for Daiichi Finance, among others.

 

In the area of intellectual property, in addition to being engaged in international litigation and providing legal opinions and drafting agreements, he provides various consultations on patents, trademarks and other intellectual property.

 

Mr. Otsuki also provides legal opinions to government authorities in the areas of real estate securitization and anti-trust law based on his vast experience in such areas.
