Isao Saiki has been providing legal services in response to clients' needs in the fields of corporate related laws.  He has a successful record of advising on conducting shareholders meetings including the first general meetings of companies who have newly become public companies.

Mr. Saiki also has handled numerous lawsuits that were fought in the field of corporate law as well as in the fields of intellectual property law and securities law.  Some examples of his work in litigation; he represented Korean companies in a patent dispute between Japan and Korea over plasma display panels, which became a major issue between the two countries.  He has been handling patent suits in the field of genetic engineering for over 10 years since the time when such disputes were extremely rare.  With regard to litigation over securities, he acted as defense counsel in a class action regarding transactions of warrants in foreign currency during the Japanese bubble economy period.  In this case, he carried out grueling examination on people involved in the case, and brought a favorable outcome for the defendant company, which was fairly attributed to his extreme determination to win the case.

Other area that Mr. Saiki is well experienced is insolvency matters.  He is one of the regular appointees by the Tokyo District Court as trustee in bankruptcy, a supervisor in corporate civil rehabilitation, and a supervisor in personal bankruptcy matters.  He also has much experience in corporate bankruptcy area as a deputy reorganization trustee in major corporate reorganization cases, such as the Chisan case and the well known, cross border reorganization case of Maruko.  Further, he has handled as the petitioner large scale of civil rehabilitation cases.  Especially in the Sogo Group's case, he successfully played a central role in the civil rehabilitation petition procedure under the then new law of the Civil Rehabilitation Law, which was the first and large scale of case considered under the Law.

Mr. Saiki's latest works are to assist corporations with setting up compliance systems, to serve as an auditor for listed companies, and to publish writings on compliance.  Since 2003, he has been a lecturer of a compulsory subject which the Japan Patent Attorneys Association requires patent attorneys to study before they sit for the exams to become "Fuki-Benrishi" who is qualified to appear at the courts in intellectual property related litigations as a co-representative with an attorney at law.

His motto is, "Speedy and Accurate Work".
